Monocle magazine is highlighting Portugal in a 36-page pullout section of its December-January edition. It will be on newsstands starting on Thursday, November 20th, and focuses on a tourist destination beyond the sun and the sea. With the title “Portugal: A Monocle Travel Guide,” the magazine travels the country from north to south, from the new Nadir Afonso Museum designed by Siza Vieira in Chaves to the beaches of Algarve, with Arrifana being considered the best of them all for surfers.
Lisbon is given the largest number of pages (a total of six), with a selection of restaurants, cafes, hotels, shops and other attractions.
The magazine returns to Portugal in April for the “Quality of Life” conference in Lisbon.
